I had no luck finding a Cervelo Soloist Centaur 51 for my 12 y/o son in all of Southern California. I am on my way back to México and I will give it a last try in Tucson. If anyone knows what store might have this bike in stock I will appreciate the information.
Thanks beforehand,
Sergio
Sabino Cycles
7131 E. Tanque Verrde
If I recall correctly from my fond memories of that town, that address is somewhere near the Tanque Verde/Grant/Kolb intersection.
Say Hi to Tucson for me!
I think the intersection is Tanque verde and Sabino Canyon. The owners name is Mac. Tall guy, about 1.85m
Thanks Steve, Brian and to those that sent promt e-mails. I called Sabino Cycles and they did not have a Soloist in size 51. They also told me (as all other stores I visited or phoned in CA and AZ in the last ten days) that they had no idea about when they would be able to secure one for me.
Seems that it is not going to be easy to get a Soloist in size 51 for my son. He is very excited about riding a new bike, but he told me he would rather wait than ride anything else. He is growing fast and the Dual will be too small for him very soon. He tried some very nice bikes in SoCal but he insists in riding a Cervelo even if he has to wait a few months. I hope I can secure one before Christmas.
Best wishes to all and thanks again.
Sergio
I had good luck with All3sports when I couldn’t find it local, coincidentaly I use a 51cm also. I ordered it and it came 3 days later, no problems.
I placed an order with All3sports last week and they did not have a Soloist 51 in stock. When did you place the order? Maybe it was the last one. I have a Polar RS200sd backordered with them. I will send them a message to check again on the availability of the Soloist.
A fitter at the Trek Superstore said that definitely he was closer to a Soloist 51, a fitter at Nytro thought that he could still ride the 48 Dual and one of the guys at B&L Bike Shop (very helpful by the way) thought that he was only a bit small for the 51 Tarmac. Seems like the Tarmac was good for him at this time and at least one more year but my son said that he prefered to wait till finding a Soloist. We will see.

Here is a photo of my son arriving in his Dual to T2 at the National Championship in Vallarta last June
Thanks to all for your help.
