Our Samsung sucks, I hate it. It builds up ice under the veggie drawer (like, 1/2" thick), requiring frequent de-icings. Looking to get something new, French door. Who’s had good luck with a fridge lasting 10 years or so with minimal issues?

Have a 13 year old Sub Zero still going strong. I think there was a minor issue once but they fixed it free of charge. Don’t even recall what it was.
Its not just Samsung.
We bought a mid-range, stainless steel Maytag last year. What a piece of crap. The first day we noticed the door was hung so badly askew that a 1/2" deep gap opened between door and frame.
Maytag sent a guy to fix it and he got the gap down to 1/8". That was unacceptable so I called them back. They told me the entire door is defective and will need replacing. Took 2 months before it was fixed.
The fridge also has a condensation problem.
I’ve only ever bought one fridge so take that as you will. Ours is an LG and we’ve had it for 10 years. Only one issue and I fixed it myself, it had a blown fuse.
Anyway, the fuse is stupidly part of the motherboard. LG told me to replace the motherboard. I bought a fuse and a fuse re-router doo-hickey and installed it for about $15.

I’d look at what the repairs are/cost/time to get replacement parts from someone who fixes them. They have a lot of good reviews on this site from the people who do the repairs.

5 years into owning a Thermador fridge/freezer, range, dishwasher and hood. Haven’t had an issue with any of them and they get a lot of us. Highly, highly recommended.

My sleeper brand is Liebherr. When we had it installed the technician specifically said it was the easiest high end fridge to work with. The brand took a pretty big hit because the tried and failed to engineer the doors so they could be easily modified for customers who want to match doors with their cabinets. If that is something you want, don’t buy one.
