Their house brand has NO logos, and the jerseys are good (nice big pockets, comfy, not super snug, etc.). You can order them online. Pretty cheap too ($26CAD).
I have a Sugoi that I like quite a bit - sleeveless, 3-pocket, pretty basic. It does say “sugoi” on the back, but in pretty small letters, and on a side pocket.
I’m with you on not-being-a-billboard. I don’t get why people pay companies to advertise for them. (and don’t get me started on all the ‘maillots jaunes’ - credit lyonnais was the worst bank i ever had, can’t stand seeing that around).
It’s party b/c I think they are ugly, but more b/c I find the quality of the big name brands to be on par with Detroit Auto.
I have 2 Performance Bike jerseys approaching 15 years in age and a pair of their bibs ~10…granted the bibs are not as comfy, but no seam issues like my Assos which didn’t even last 1 season. Performance for me is the ultimate in contradictions: low price without sacrificing quality in their clothing anyway. The Forte brand is lame in the component department…damn that stuff sucks.
I have 3 of the nicer Performance brand sleeveless jerseys that have lasted 5 or so years and look nearly new … why change what works … especially when you can pick them up for $20- $25 … ?
I wear white jerseys with red shorts. I’m getting some of the white shorts though.
Velowear.com is the bomb. Really nice stuff at good prices. They have sales throughout the year so sign up for the mailing list (they’ve never sold me out) The plain jersy is around 30-40 bucks and it’s great. They’ll put it on sale once a year of like 25. Stock up. EDIT: Sleveless is on sale for 27. couple of colors too.
GHsports is good also. GH stands for Greg Hind, the dude who started Hind back in the day. Good, simple gear at a good price and made in the USA. 40 for a jersey, 32 sleveless. 50 for bibs. 18 for running tops. Just wish he did colors in the bibs. I hate black shorts.
I have a plain gray one from Canari that was dirt cheap with so-so fabric and one from Peal Izumi that is white and gray, no billboard that is very comfy.
