Yup. coming up to Taupo only 3 days before the race - but will be on the S.Island for two weeks prior. time for some last minute training!!!

sounds like it could be pretty cold on race day. what’s the weather been like the last couple weeks?

Am I having deja vu? Previously posted: arriving AKL on the Sunday; heading to Taupo on the Tuesday in time for “swim the course”.

i’ll be there - from monday to monday (might not be back for a while so i want to enjoy the whole deal for as long as possible).

cidewar - as far as weather - ive seen it all here in chch over the last 3 months. bring your booties just in case but today it was 27 degrees and brutally hot by noon in chch, tomorrow might be more like 30. i think taupo was just as hot - we could be like shrimp on the barbie out on the run…

Is it possible to leave extra clothes midway on the bike when we pick up our special needs bag? I might want some extra clothes initially on the bike, but can’t imagine carrying it for the full bike. Can we toss items it to spectators?
