Do they do a good job? I know for a fact that mine is way off with power after riding 2 others. like 35-50 watts off (thank god it was the trainer NOT the girl!). I want it fixed. They want me to cship it to them and I want to know if anyone has shipped their CT for repair and how it went.
i’ve sent a few different units for repair (have had my own for 10+, plus own a multirider studio) and always found their repairs to be prompt and effective.

Thanks. Did it take a long time? I can’t wait to see how much wattage I am putting out!
nope - turnaround is pretty quick. Call them in advance to make arrangements. I have also found that the lab unit load generators are worth the money. I don’t know if they can upgrade your existing one, or what they need to do to yours, but if it’s possible, I’d suggest that you consider it.

Hi,
I had mine fixed 3 years ago it was making a lot of noise… It was in the middle of the winter (Feb) so I really needed my trainer because I was training for St.Croix (may)… I made arrangement with them (CT) they sent me another load generator once a received it, I sent mine that needed repair. I was truly happy with their service because I didn’t lose any training workouts. Of course I paid the extra shipping for them to send me the spare unit and re-send it to them back.
And to end this story my CT load genrator is working prefectly today…Excellent service.

A Lab unit isn’t any different from a regular load generator, it is just calibrated to more ‘points’. Their feeling is that most units are probably Lab units, it’s just that they only verify it on the official ones.
