Weather forecast is freezing rain and 45km/hr winds. It’ll be memorable. I’m still trying to figure out what to wear.

I am doing it as well. This will be my first time doing this race, with the forecast the way it is, looks like I picked quite the year to try it. Promises to be a memorable sufferfest!

I am as well, it will definitely be a character building day. At least the 45kph winds will be mainly at our backs.

Funny since in a video on the website it says it has never rained during the race in the history of the event. Even if it doesn’t rain…that is not going to be fun conditions!

Epic day. Snowing and 1 degree.
The “good” news is that it’s going to warm up to 4 or 5 degrees and turn to rain.

i must have missed the rain - all i saw was snow, interspersed with (not enough) sun.

first year for both me and my husband. he broke his rear derailleur hanger with about 10k left to go. i finished near BOP, but hadn`t intended to try to race it - i was just enjoying myself and taking photos along the way.

Great photos Mistress K . That was the hardest 60km I ever rode. The mud was heavy that my bike probably doubled in weight by the finish line. I’d love to do this race again… but maybe when there is no adverse weather advisory on.

yeah, there were some places you got 2 inches taller with every step…not to mention this:

both wheels jammed solid with mud no less than three times over the course of the day, and that pic wasn`t even the worst instance. at least the stuff on the powerline slide was soupy enough to just slide off!

cheers!
