Got this idea from looking at the guys talking about IM AZ. They were talking about being on the trainer all winter.
I live in florida, so I don’t even own a trainer. Am I the only person on here w/o one?
Edit: cant type so well

I don’t own one.
I live in Illinois.
I need one, but it takes a lot of pennys saved for a college student to be able to afford one.
Exactly what Ze Gopha said.
I don’t. Live in Arkansas.
never owned one before… just ordered one. first ever.
this isn’t because i’m excited about riding all day in my living room… it’s because i’m rehabbing from knee surgery & it’ll be a while before i can do anything other than bike and swim.
Was going to buy one but took the money and bought clothing for winter instead.
Don’t own one.
Live in Houston, TX. Maybe 4-5 days a year cool enough for a frost and even those days warm up to the high 40’s and 50’s.
There are two local YMCA’s nearby with spin classes every day, one taught by a Duathlon Nat’l Champion. In the event of rain or frost, I just walk into the class. One hour with the Du champ almost made me lose my breakfast last week!
sold mine last year. This year I’m going to see how much I can get in with indoor spinning and outdoor snow/ice riding.
On the flip, who owns one but doesn’t use it? That’d be me… Too darn tired after work, plus cold and dark northeast coast winters make me want to sleep.
I don’t have one either (in Ohio). Gave mine to my brother so he could ride in his Michigan garage all winter, thinking my friend was giving me his. Just found out yesterday that he gave his to someone else and I am now trainerless. Big bummer. I have 2 spinbikes though, so I do still ride inside…
I bought one during the summer of 40 straight days of rain, and have only probably used it a handful of times since then because we’ve been more or less in drought conditions since then.
I use mine in California to try and stay alive as long as possible.

I don’t want one. If I’m going to spin, I’d rather do it with the “spin babes” in spin class.

No. I don’t. Sold it a few years ago. Cycle for real all year, more time on fixed in the Winter.

If wife and I ever move to a warmer climate, they’ll be a couple of trainers going up on ebay. I wouldn’t own one in Florida either, but up here in the Great White North, our weather is a little colder in the winter.
I don’t have one.
I also don’t bike much ![]()
None for me. SoCal, the land of eternal spring-like climate.
Well, you can get a cheap mag trainer for $80.
Now, if you were a college student in a refund state–say, Iowa–you would save up your cans (which, of course, they all do)…
At .05 a can, that would be 1600 cans
Divided by 24, that’d be 66.67 case–or 66 cases, a 12 pack, and a sixer…
Shit, I could have bought that trainer with PLENTY of time left before finals of my freshman year. Have a party or two, and you could have it taken care of by October. You gotta be industrious, my friend.
Now, those Michigan students, they have to drink even less. Or, of course, they could buy a better trainer…
I got mine at the thrift store $5 on it was $8 bucks. Thats less cans ![]()
Don’t like it.Got a big light 14.2volts and a fixedgear bike. 7 kids I got to get out of this place . :-)and train outside.
