Who Came Up With Carbon Bladed Aero Spokes?

I just got this new carbon wheelset, being the poseur that I am, and, as luck would have it, after a few long rides, I had a flat. Bladed carbon spokes came with the wheelset, and I have concluded that if “Dr. Phibes” (horror movie buffs) came back as a bike wheel manufacturer, he’d invent carbon bladed aero spokes.

Try changing your tire with one of tire removal tools, and having your hand slip a few times, INTO THE CARBON aero spokes. If any of you are fixing to throw money down for a carbon wheelset with bladed spokes, I’m telling you right now, figure in BLOOD LOSS, during flat tire repair.

HID, and et al, that responded to “The Dreaded Penguins,” thanks guys. I’ll take some shots with me on the new bike. Could be the position on the bike, could be the lack of salts, who knows?

Booth, have you tried this:

How can you be a poser when you bought clinchers?

Because he has a carbon training wheelset- sounds like a true poser to me!

I didn’t want to say it.

Shame on you…

Now this is a Francois-level DNF excuse. Good job!

“I was feeling just great - really strong, but at mile 25 I had a flat and really cut myself up on those blankety-blank spokes, so I had to call it a day.”

(just giving you some race-day motivation booth)
