This may be paranoia on my part, but I take my own Hammer products with me when I travel and since the original containers are too big I put the measure it out in individual plastic bags. Am I setting my self up for an embarrasing legal situation?
Just put them in your checked luggage. It is likely that they will open and inspect your bag, but no more. I travel with G-Push all the time this way and have never been met at baggage claim by someone asking me, “could you please step over here for a moment?”.
I do the same thing, but usually drive to races. How’s this: Use a fat black marker and write “GATORADE” on each bag, then hope for the best? I say gatorade because I figure that there probably aren’t too many people who don’t know what that is.
If it’s in there with a bunch of other sport stuff, one would hope that common sense would be applied. Or am I being overly generous/insufficiently paranoid?
(edited due to another ham-fisted spelling day.)
Have you ever snorted Hammergel powder or G-Push? It’s sorta-like snorting placebos…they can make you feel any way you want. They should be outlawed.
Sounds sort of like a Mr. Tibbs, response, doesn’t it? Oh, well. Can you tell I’m tapering today?
The responses have just reinforced my own thoughts, but in todays society with all that is going on ya never know. Good luck in your race!
I had TSA in Oakland pull out several bags of powder to get to the pocket knife I had forgotten was in by back pack. Never said a word about it. The knife has a new home now.

Just remember not to fly with those dangerous CO2 cartridges. They’ll drag you away in chains. ![]()
