Will it be as sweep ???
Thom
bottom of the sixth, bases loaded, 1 out :)))))) El duque on the mound
.
why do you post the scores in the subject matter line…i think better to do it in the text so as not to ruin it for those of us who have it on tivo

Thom
Thats strike three johnny.
That was horrible, what was he thinking, great pitching though.
I knew everything I needed to know about the BoSox when I saw them celebrating like crazy when they ‘made the playoffs’. When the defending world champion, who’s led their division most of the year, celebrates simply ‘making the playoffs’ like they did … that tells me “we’re not as good as we should be”.
Of course, now that they’re down 0-2, they’re gonna go on a 11-game winning streak. ![]()
is it the broom I see ??
you got 2 ooouts left.
only one left.
Is she going to sing today ?
Game over.
amazing, the white sox are the red sox of last year!!!
Well no bats for the white sox. The red sox got some big bats.

Nope. ChiSox are division winners … best record in the ML for much of the season. The BoSox of last year squeeked in as a wild-card, were down 3-0 to the Evil Empire and then played the greatest 8-game stretch any team has ever played. It will be a long time before any team is the “BoSox of last year”. What they did was pure miraculous.
If the ChiSox pitchers can keep over-performing, they could easily win the whole thing. Big bats don’t usually win World Series titles … ask my Cardinals of last year.
Pitching staffs are like goalies and quarterbacks … you get a hot one, and just ride them out.
The media around here (Northern Illinois) have been doing nothing but writing gloom and doom b/c the white sox cooled off (uh, it is a long season). I’m glad to see the ChiSox get to serve them a great big s–tburger. Cub fans can take a bite too … they’ve been doing their best to spread the “September Cheer” also.
Ultimate WS … Cardinals v. ChiSox … I can’t lose.
I grew up in Geneva Ill. I am a sick Cubs fan.
I hope to get over this some day.

**Well no bats for the white sox. The red sox got some big bats. **
I thought the “small ball” white sox hit more team home runs that the “big hitting” Red Sox? It’s all in the perception that the media puts out there. Fair to say that the ChiSWox are a little short in the “superstar” category. Once again, a frnachise shows that it is “better off” when they get rid of the high-priced, can’t-win-without superstar. Wonder how Magglio is enjoying Detroit? Probably just as much as Griffey Jr is enjoying Cincy. I like it when lesser known players bond together under the umbrella of “we’re a team”, and just play over-their-head, inspired ball. It’s refreshing.
Cubs fan? It is literally amazing how resilient you guys are. Every year you come back for more punishment. It’s astounding.
Edit: On a serious note, if you and the rest of the Chicagoland guys here at ST would like to meet for a game at Wrigley in 06 … I would love that. We could do a family thing, or “just guys” or whatever. A “ST at Wrigley” day would be pretty cool, IMO. Even a Cardinals’ fan appreciates the beauty of Wrigley field on a warm, summer day. That is, if you guys don’t mind hanging out with a “down-stater” … yeah, I like gasp south of I-80. =)
It was the red sox batting avg. That was so high. ESPN said somthing about the white sox had more team jacks. I like the fresh blood in the series. Go underdog. But i do live in nothern ny . So when in rome listen to the ny yanks. It’s a radio thing. Like I said > They all look better on the radio. even the big unit. ![]()

I still can’t believe El Duque got out of the sixth without allowing a run! Go White Sox!
I’m with you Triple Threat, I would love to see a Cards/Chi Sox WS.
even the big unit. ![]()
Randy lost all sex appeal when he cut the mullet. That was a dark day for baseball … almost as bad as the strike of 94, the Pete Rose saga, etc.
