I’m about 150 miles into it now and it is getting kind of purple/grey where my inner thighs hit it. My L Garneau shorts really darkened it, while Oomphs only mildly did. How do I get it back to white? I tried Simple Green, but no go.
Tsk, tsk…if you use a white saddle you should know that it’s not for sitting on, you must ride standing up from now on. Also, if using white bar tape keep your filthy hands off it, hold the stem with your teeth to steer.

So that’s why/how it is that on all these bike porn posts these beautiful, gorgeous high end bikes stay so clean. Either that, or they never get ridden!!
FWIW - I use Ariones on my road/tri/cx/fixie/ss/etc, but use Aliantes on my MTBs.
The Ariones stay “whiter” than the Aliantes using the same bibs. Perhaps it’s due to mud from MTB, but since I’m sitting on it…that shouldn’t make a difference. The Fizik marketing mgr used to post here, so perhaps she can chime in regarding any difference in material.
Good luck…I’d be curious of the answer.
On a completely different subject, the Fizik white bar tape FAR EXCEEDS others white (cork) tapes in staying white…
white saddles are only for pictures and sunday group ride. have another black saddle with a seatpost that is marked for height. as soon as you are done with your ride, swap back the white saddle.
Sure it looks nice in white when it’s clean, but that’s as difficult as keeping anything else white clean. Ride it for a season and you’ll have a “gray” Fizik Arione. Some of the nicest things I’ve owned have been white, but always so hard to keep clean.
I use automotive detail-grade leather interior cleaner/conditioner. It works outstandingly well and keeps the leather soft & supple. The real challenge is to be diligent about it and (yes I realize this borders on OC behavior) clean it after every ride. As someone already mentioned, use Kiwi shoe polish to really clean it but let it set for a day or two because it will rub off on your shorts if it’s not completely dry.
Try Mr. Clean Magic Erase Pads, the Duo ones (with blue on the back) are the best but the others are pretty good too. Get it wet, ring out about 75% of the water, then wipe the saddle down and then wipe off the remaining moisture with a clean terry cloth towel. This should work fine. I run a boat cleaning service and the Mr. Clean pads are a lifesaver and a huge timesaver for us.

Sadly, this and all the other ideas have failed. The purple-ish Louis Garneau stain isn’t even budging. This is so unfair!!!

fi’zi:k Marketing Mngr here. Let me see if I can offer some insight.
The reason why your Aliante might not stay as clean as the Arione could be due to this. I don’t know when the saddle was purchased vs the Arione which was referenced but we did in fact change the cover from a pearl white to a chalk white. Both are still available on our ‘buy on line’ sight but I encourage chalk white over pearl white.
I hesitated to put any of the US road teams on white this year - as when I tried this in the past - they became, as you said, pretty filthy. Apparently however, the chalk white saddles are in fact, staying white. We use a microtex cover so you should be able to clean them w a little soap and water.
The white bar tape is also a chalk white microtex and can also be cleaned with soap and water.
Hope this helps.
