White Rock Lake - Dallas Police

As a general heads up to dallas cyclists…cops are now ticketing out at white rock, pay attention to stop signs. Got one tonight…let me tell you…i was pumped!!! They were camped out and had about 5 of us pulled over at once, i saw another group of 4-5 who got tagged as well…

I know its nothing new, but they were actually ticketing along the lake path on the route that basically everyone rides…just thought everyone should be aware.

Why guys/gals would want to ride around there just baffels me. It is an accident waiting to happen. To much traffic and to many soccer moms with their kids on the huffy not paying any attention, not to mention a boring loop that you just do over and over. It great for running but also gets pretty boring.

You are quite correct. Was down there last September for a race and the path was pretty much closed and here come bunch of folks trying to ride though about 3000 people and got pissed when no one was reacting to “on your left.” It was a classic.

Too bad it wasn’t for a speeding ticket! If I ever get one for that I am going to FRAME IT!!! :slight_smile: Hope all is well!
