ive only watched the first 2:50 but so far its just a bunch of edited half second clips of obama saying uh or um. he did say one stupid thing for a president to say on tv when he said that his bowling game was like the special olympics. funny as hell but stupid to say on tv.

The Perry video is an uncut interview segment of him trying to answer a question. The Obama video is an edited hatchet job with ominous music and biased commentary. Surely it should be easy to find video of the worst president ever looking like a moron.

are you serious? what on earth gave you the impression thats what i said? did you bother to read why i thought that wasnt a good video? did you bother to read where i pointed out that obama said something stupid? did you understand what i wrote? do you really think that editing together a ton of clips of someone stammering for half a second makes them look stupid? have you ever listened to talk radio? if that is your requirement ofseeming stupid then please explain lmbaugh and beck. no one stammers more than they do. i wouldnt say that stammering between points makes them stupid, its the shit they say between the ummmmms.

but im curious. conservatives love to bash obama for using a teleprompter. what president doesnt use a teleprompter? they have been in use for 50 years! obama may use them more but i fail to see how that makes him stupid.
Using a teleprompter means you are never phrasing the answer in your own terms, based on your own understanding. Speaking off-the-cuff, or freely, about an issue shows you have good grasp of it. Speaking what someone else wrote, doesn’t.
Yes, every President used a teleprompter for major speeches. The issue with Obama’s use of it, is that it is in almost every situation - including those where every other President spoke without notes or a scripted answer.
Also, Obama was touted as this magical orator - the anti-Bush, if you will - it certainly doesn’t make him look so great when you realize he can’t really speak as well as what was played up by his supporters and the media.

Also, I want to point out that Obama is touted as being a great orator–his tone and inflection, his confidence in delivering a message. And for the most part he is, absolutely…I’ve certainly found myself caught up in his speeches from time to time. However, the unscripted stuff, which we see very little of from Obama, is quite a bit less impressive.
Now, does that make him a bigger idiot than some of the Pub candidates? To me his general politics is what makes him dumb/dangerous–the content and message within his speeches–but I’m also very conservative. My socially liberal bent also allows me to laugh at the Perry’s and Bachmann’s of the world as well. The good part? I can laugh at all of them. The bad part? Unless Gary Johnson miraculously becomes a popular candidate I can’t stand a single one of them.

GW Bush had a nice swing. Hasn’t the media told us it is our current President who is athletic? He not only throws like a girl but he also swings a golf club like a girl.
Most politicians on both sides are fucking morons…this video of Romney is the first one that came to mind but he is certainly not the only one. The only ones I would support are Gary Johnson and Ron Paul. All others just epitomize everything that is wrong with this country.

There’s a lot of things to bash Obama about, but the teleprompter is just a sad red herring of an issue.
Complaining about Obama’s use of the teleprompter is like complaining about Bolt’s use of a rubberized track or racing shoes. When Obama speaks without a teleprompter, he’s only bad when compared to himself. He still speaks well better than that gaffe machine GW ever did, and pretty much on par with most other politicians.
This all reminds me of a quote from a teammate of mine in high school. “You’re only faster than me because you ran over the summer.” Obama is a brilliant campaigner and fantastic at delivering prepared speeches. Neither makes one a good president, but you certainly can’t criticize someone for being good at something.
