Which polar HRM shud I get

I have a bunch of low-end Polar HRMs. But I am getting tired of guessing how much time I’ve spent in each zone. I need to go against my naturally thrifty instnicts and get a highter model. The question is which one?

Things I want

  1. Zones and warnings
  2. Download to PC
  3. Lowest price

Things I do not need

  1. Bike functionality
  2. Altimiter
  3. Running speed/distance
  4. Silly stuff

Which model should I get? It has to be Polar b/c I already have lots of straps lying around in every location where I train.

s410 has everything you want.

s410 does have everything you want, but…

the new rsd200 does as well, plus it adds run speed, has a nicer smaller case, cleaner display and is $10 cheaper or so.

you also may find s410s on sale because of the above mentioned new model. we just marked our s410 models 20% off in our shop

Tai - I just got the new RS200SD: Awesome! Best Polar yet IMO (very hard to find now: B&L has some). BUT - you can only download via the stupid sonic link thing - no infrared and limited bike usefulness. I prefer a separate bike computer anyway. But, he asked about bike functions and downloads.

Tks

Is there a difference between the rsd200 and the rsd200rsd listed in their web site?

yeah the sonic link, screaching fax machine downloading isn’t much fun but the watches can be lot smaller then IR enabled watches. Still would be nice to have IR though…

I’m hoping my RS200SD shows up this week, sold all of them we had right when they came in, wanted to keep one for myself but figured I’d steal one from the second shipment.

sorry, yeah meant the rs200sd, that’s the one. the red sounds cheesy but in person it’s pretty cool. thought the black would sell better but everyone wants the red, it’s kind of sparkly too:)
