Which pedal, Look Keo or Time RXS?

Anyone have experience with these two pedals? I’ve always used Look pedals in the past but since the Keo uses a different (smaller) cleat, I’m open to other pedals and the Time RXS seems to have a similar platform.Dave from VA

Shimano Ultegra pedal. I switched from Look and never, ahem, looked back. Squeak-free!

Time RXS, no question.

They LOOK similar, but it’s TIME to make a change

I have the new RSX Titan and am not all that impressed with it really. I prefer my older Time Titan Mag pedals as they have a larger platform and felt more stable. If the Look has an even smaller platform I would certainly avoid that.

Chip, I’m PM’ing you my postal address… yes, surface mail is fine…

I used to ride looks but got a free pair of time which have, I have now found out, been the cause of knww pain. I am riding speedplay now, and they better than the look’s

Tough choice. Two nice pedals. Right now I don’t have enough experience with either pedal to have an informed opinion.

Well Tom, which pedals do you rate?

Knee pain because of Time pedals; well I don’t want that since I’m just getting over ITBS. Anyone else develop knee pain while using Time pedals?

Dave from VA

I don’t think it is because your pedals are made by Time. It’s because your pedals had float & q-factor that didn’t agree with your feet & legs. You can get the same float & q-factor from virtually every pedal on the market, it’s just a matter of choosing the pedal that is right for you.

Does anyone know if the new Time RXS pedals are actually in stores?

I see them for sale online but only on sites that will typically sell things that aren’t yet in stock (Airbomb, Beyondbikes etc.)

I really want to pick up a pair…

I have been using looks since i started biking, and I got a pair of Keo’s for the holidays. They are very nice, just as stable as my old pedals, you just need to adjust the saddle height a bit.

I have never met anyone that has complained about Time pedals causing any issues with knees. If there are I would almost presume that they were on the “Impact” pedals and I really do not know much about them. I do know that the Time (old style) pedal was the one that people went to when they did have knee issues. What Time pedals were you on Dave? And additionally, were you on Time shoes? I firmly beleive that if you are on the older style Time pedals the only shoes to have were ones that you did not have to put an adapter plate on the sole (Time, Carnac and other TBT sole shoes).

The jury is still out on the great pedal debate.

We got some Time RXS’s and they look promising. We’ll see.

The inability to turn the (impact) cleats out to the correct angle for my knees buggered them, original Time were fine, as were Mid

Now on speedplay zero, superb pedal system.

bump. any fresh opinions on these?

I am starting to not mind the RXS Ti…but the Jury is still out on if they are better than my old Titan Mag.

did they stop squeeking? i can’t stand that.

I have Keos on both my tri and road bikes. I am very happy with them, the weight is amazing for the price and I have yet to hear any squeaking. No knee problems with the red cleats and they are longer lasting than the standard look cleats.

They only did if they were wet.
