Which new wheet set should I buy for racing?

I have a set of Roval Carbon tubulars with ceramic bearings. Rovals are nice, but I am looking for something more aero. Here is what I am looking at:

HED3C’s front and rear.
HED Stinger 90’s front and rear
HED Stinger disc rear and use my Roval Carbon tubular front.

I will typically average 23.5-24.5 mph in tris.

Is it even worth changing wheelsets at this point?

Please share your thoughts on these wheels and anything else I should consider.

Thanks in advance.

PJ

I’d consider the Flashpoint 80’s.

Go with the Stinger 9’s. They are lighter than the H3C’s and probably more aero.

What is your reasoning behind your suggestion?

From what I have read the FP’s do not come in tubular and are a bit heavy.

Maybe this would work for you:

.

That is coooool! Weight? Tubular?

Tubular only.

I think that front wheel weighed exactly 863 grams.

What tire(size) was it optimized to work with?
How many itterations did you try in the tunnel before you created the mold?
How does it compare at a sweep of yaw with a Hed 3, Zipp808, 1080 and Stinger 90?
How does it compare in cost?
Whats the surface area? Do you have a recommended weight limit?
Is it optimized so the spokes face a certain way?
What kind of valve extender does that need?

That is a strange looking wheel…

Of the options you presented, I’d recommend the Stinger Disc on the rear with your existing Rolf wheel on the front. For TT’s and Tri’s, a deep section wheel in the front and a disc in the rear is commonly regarded as the fastest setup.

bump. Come on Jim. You’ve got to know optimal tire size right?

Too bad you dont have “real” Rovals…ahhhhh…the good old days.

Campy tried a wheel like that late 80’s or very early 90’s.
Didn’t sell/work well.

How is this wheel any better?

Campy’s did work, it was however a track only FRONT wheel and it was heavy (on purpose). The cost was outlandish…but you put any wheel like that on the front of a bike - pray for no wind. For the rear…idiotic.
