Which ism adamo saddle for ironman distance

looking to get a new adamo saddle thought the race was the best choice but found out that might not
be true. whats all your opinions on the saddle.

I got the Racing Gel saddle a few weeks prior to IMC, used it there, and have loved it. No issues once I got it dialed in after 2-3 rides.
I’m going to get a road version to put on my road/trainer bike this off-season.
Of course, YMMV.

The new road version is AWESOME! =]

I use the Adamo race. I like it but it gives me a few saddle sores. I’m going to take a look @ the Cobb V-flow. Looks similar (Cobb nose looks more structural than a pressure point) and Cobb gives 6 month money back guarantee…check the fine print if any but that is my understanding.

I rode the race version two weeks ago @ IMLouisville with great results. I had a longer break-in period of around 500 miles, but am finally happy not to be sitting on soft tissue.

How is the new road version different from the older one?

I have not noted any difference except for the different colors.

On the road vs. race, rhe road version has a little more padding, and the rails are cro-mo (Ti in the race version). Other than that they are exactly the same.

I have used both and found that the race version was a little too hard for me, especially during long rides. I have used the Adamo Road in 2 IMs (and all associated training) and found it to be very comfortable.

try the adamo road or john cobb’s vflow max
.

For me I think that the nose knubs are thinner on the new one.

Are you the type that likes soft saddles or firm ones? My Adamo Typhoon solved my saddle problems and I’ve been using it for nearly 2 years. Love it.

I ride the Adamo race, and it is perfect for me. It has almost no padding, which works fine for me.
If you prefer padded saddles, go for the road or typhoon versions.

I agree, its so perfectly shaped it needs no padding.

Its such an “ah ha” moment when you get off your bike and (at least in the gorin area) It doesn’t even feel like you were on it!

Guys I am thinking about the ISM saddles for half distance. Do your underside issues go away with this?

I use the Specialized Toupe Gel and am in love with it, but that is on a roadie set up and I REALLY sit on my sitz bones on my roadie.

I know that I have to do something about my TT setup b/c there is no way I can stay down more than 5 min at a time w/o my gooch meat going numb. The Adamo seems like it has some loyal followers…any updates from those here who were kind of new to it when they posted?

Thx…I’m looking at Typhoon…
