Which aerobars have the armrests as close (in height) to the base bars as possible?
Which aerobars are the most adjustable? Width, reach, angles, etc.
It’s not always easy to see from photos and descriptions which setups are the lowest.
Thanks.

Vision can get the pads sitting on the bars, as can Hed flip lites. Customise some profile t2s and you can do it with them too.
Visions have no reach adjustment but do have width. Profile and Hed have reach adjustment.
If you want something tricky get profiles and have extensions custom bent for you
Oval sit pretty low.
The Blackwell aero bars can be set up in just about any configuration you can imagine.
Oval are most adjustable. Quality, too.
i think my Hed bars are pretty low.
Ovals and Heds can both be flat on the basebar.
profile t2 can be set to be equal to the base bar, i actually have to add some bar tape to the base bar because my forearm hits the hard base bar… not sure if you can go lower than that.
Thanks everyone. I have T2+ Cobras at the moment. I can’t put them right on the bars because the extensions then sit too low for my arms and it isn’t comfortable for my wrists. I could of course get custom extensions but that seems a lot of effort ![]()
I’ve just bought a cheap adjustable stem, so I’ll see how that works out. I don’t need to get much lower but I’d like to get my upper arms a little more vertical (by bringing the extensions and armrests towards me) but this raises my upper body a bit too much.
The HEDs look like they’d be great - I just couldn’t tell from their site whether they were adjustable for reach as well as width. Vision and Oval look like options as well but I prefer the HEDs I think.
I’ll see how the stem works out and then think about the HEDs.
Cheers.
Check out trisports.com because I believe Profile just came out with new extensions (CSX?) which sit right on the base bar
.
Hed aerobars with an Oval adjustable stem seems to work pretty well for me: http://i16.tinypic.com/61krqkn.jpg

Those look pretty nice but unfortunately the dimensions look out. I’m tall (6’5") with long forearms and my current setup is incompatible with the CSXs.
Length = 265mm vs 290mm
Pad setback = 68mm vs 90mm
That’s the problem with fixed length bars - it reduces the likelihood of them fitting everyone, particularly physiological freaks like me.
