I must say that for years, Dan Empfield, aka Slowman, had the best online coverage of both the run-up to and then race day coverage of IMH. This year I see nothing, so I need to ask, where is Dan?
Being the insider that he is, Dan would always be getting the real inside story on what was going on in Hawaii. Who was there and what was really going on. Not the fluffy stuff that you would be getting on some of the other sites. I miss that.
Scott Molina has somehow replaced Dan with his daily repoprts bot during and after the Epic Taper Camp. I have been getting my daily fix of inside kona news and info over thereat the Epic Camp Web site.
Well the big day is tommow, and as is my habit I will be as far away from a computor screen as I can get on IMH race day- I will be up north at my cottage, putting in some wood for the winter and taking out the water system. Unless, someone calls me and gives me an update, I will not know what has happened until I walk back into the office on Monday morning.
