Anybody else notice the Army Special Forces banner up there ^ ? Very cool. I’m sure Dan-o is making a little coin off of it, but i like that it’s there.
I’ve refreshed my browser a couple dozen times, and I haven’t seen it! I know Dan has “geographical” ads, but I’m not sure why the Army SF would be geographical? Do you live near Ft. Bragg? 
Here in the OC it is the Navy Accelerate you life ad.
Must be regional then. Southern Cal is definitely a Navy “zone” where the South and SE is an Army zone. I think the Air Force gets a little from everywhere and I’d wager the Marine Corp from the NE?

if you take all those ads in the aggregate, you should join the army, and in preparation of such (and to ensure the best possible billet), go out and get yourself lasik surgery and get in shape using the training bible. so that you have a nice hottie to write home to when deployed offshore, best you fire up an account on fitness singles dot com.
as stated several times previously, all the ads EXCEPT the one at the top of this forum and the left hand side 300x250 on the home page i control and sell myself. most of the ads that show on the banner the top of the page i get from an industry ad aggregator who sells pretty much the same set of ads to triathlete mag, competitor mag, and so forth (except there are certain campaigns we don’t let on our site that some of the other portals do not consider problematic).
Guess that is why I don’t see one in the Bay Area. Freaking Berkley even has a special parking spot for protesters at the Marines recruitment stations.

Hello, home of the “Hollywood Marines?” Camp Pendelton? I confess a bit of fondness for the Marines as I know more than a few. (No slight to the Navy as the Marines are a tiny little division of it .)

Plus the Marines are just the Navy anyway A few years ago when I was staying up in North County, I ran up the coast and near/around Pendleton - didn’t really have the “feel” I expected of a typical large base (like the HUGE Navy presence in San Diego or Norfolk or Army presence in Ft. Benning, etc.)
Army “bases” are far more diverse with typical large training bases all over (Ft. Lewis, WA, Ft. Benning, GA, Ft. Reilly, KS, Ft. Greely, AK, Ft. Bragg, NC, etc.) to small biological or chemical labs, to areas like the Presidio in San Fran as well as many other countries.

Actually, while serving with US Army for 20 years, I was taught that the purpose of the Marines is to pull guard duty for the Navy
