I am heading out to the Springs for a few days and was hoping to find a pool to get in a few swim sessions. Anyone know of any good places to go. I’ll be in the Broadmoor area. Thanks
I was there about 3 years ago for a couple of weeks and was able to swim at the YMCA that is in the downtown area. Was able to get in for free by showing my local membership card. It had a 6 lane 25 yard pool that wasn’t to busy when I was there.
I coach a masters team at Cheyenne Mountain High School which is near the Broadmoor.
March schedule is:
2, 4, 9, 11 March: in the water at 7:15pm
16, 18, 30 March: in the water at 7:45pm
23, 25 March: in the water at 6:00pm
Saturdays at 3pm
If you are coming in a different month let me know since the sched gets changed a bit here and there.
The high school also has M-F 6-7:15am and 11am-1pm lap swim times if morning or mid-day works better for you
Apropos of nothing, if I had a band I would name it Anorexic Dildo. One of the best IDs on this site. Enjoy the Springs!
Thanks. My wife gave that nickname one night while in a drunken stooper. She was bitching about my training schedule and told that all the time I spend training does nothing more than make me look like an anorexic dildo. It stuck and is now her pet name for me. Not so great in public though.
