Where to ride in Honolulu?

I will be at a seminar in April at the Hilton Hawaiian Village beach/resort in Honolulu and would like to briing a bike. Are there good (safe) roads nearby?

You can ride through waikiki up diamond head then follow the road out to the main road. I’ve ridden it quite a few times and don’t consider it very “safe” but there are a lot of cyclists. Contact ITB (Island Tri and Bike) for more info.

The century ride is my favorite route. It starts at Kapiolani Park on the Diamond Head end of Waikiki and heads out towards Hawaii Kai and further up the Windward coast. There’s a good map on the Hawaii Bicycling League website but I can’t seem to find it.
