Where to get a P2 from

Which is a good store to get a P2 from ?
thanks

A local dealer where you can get a professional fit. There is a function on the Cervelo Website that helps you locate your local dealer. A good fit is worth its weight in gold!

I second the local dealer…aside from someone on ebay or the like, you won’t find an internet dealer that will ship it to you (against the contract with Cervelo).

Not true. Some companies (Felt, Trek) do not allow online sales, but Cervelo allows certain retailers to sell online.

I got my frame brand new from an online retailer (SBR in NYC)… I think they are prohibited from undercutting MSRP, though; the best ‘deal’ they could offer is free shipping.

They probably could have give you a free set of wheels.

Hell, I could be wrong. I know Felt is like that…Cervelo may not be…I assumed they were, but the more I think about it, I don’t think they are now…Insideoutsports had a sale on closeout duals about 4 yrs ago and they shipped one to me, so I guess I was just being an idiot (certainly not the first or last time).

Cervelo strictly enforces MSRP for its vendors both online and in-store. At certain times a year (late winter) Cervelo authorizes reduced prices on the last years models.

I also think that Cervelo now enforces certain restrictions on freebies which can go along with a frame/bike sale as to level the playing field for all vendors. I.e. You can’t get a 2010 P3 plus a nice set of wheels for free at the MSRP price.

I bought my P2C from a “known” webtailer 2 years ago (they’re no longer selling Cervelo). They were well thought of and I not only bought from them, but flew to do a fitting. After paying money and riding the bike at the shop, it took 2 weeks to get the bike and it came poorly assembled. It was far more hassle than any deal is worth. My recommendation is to find a good tri shop in your area and work with them. If you can’t find a good Cervelo dealer locally, then at least try to find a good fitter who you can trust. I now take my P2C and S3 to a non-Cervelo dealer and he has done my fittings. If you do buy a bike online, Competitive Cyclist is fantastic and I did buy my S3 and previous Soloist Team from them and they know their stuff, but aren’t the cheapest. Fittings for Road Bikes are a lot easier though.
