Where to find rules for Muskoka 70.3

Hello everyone, my first post after visiting the site off and on for many months.

I was wondering where I can find the rules and info for Muskoka 70.3 next month. Specifically I was wondering about wetsuits and usage and aid stations?

Will I be able to use my full length wetsuit? And how often are there aid stations on the ride…or do I need to carry enough fluid and food.

Sorry about the newbie question. It is my first 70.3.

thank you to anyone who can help with answers, or where I can find them.

If it’s anything like last year, you’ll likely see the Athlete’s Guide issued sometime in August with all the specifics.
Wetsuits were allowed in 2008.
On the bike, there were two aid stations, one near Dwight and one near Baysville. Just took a quick look at the course map (link) http://www.ironmanmuskoka.com/images/Ironman%20Muskoka%2070.3,%202008%20v2.pdf

Have a great race!

Check out the race maps for the course on the website. I think the bike aid stations are at 35km and 66km…not 100% on those distances though.

You should really really check out the website. It has most of the info on there i believe and wait for the newsletter for the rest. Its also my first HIM…im a bit nervous but looking forward to it!

What kind of bottles did they hand out last year on the bike? Like will they fit a regular size bottle holder? Im just trying to figure out if im going to pack all my own fluid for the entire bike…aka probably pick up a speedfil or something vs. rely on the aid station. Kind of scared i’ll miss an aid station or fail to grab a bottle haha, first race nerves i guess

They were the standard disposable plastic water and gatorade bottles, both with a spout. About 700ml each I beleive- they fit in a standard bottle cage.

It will be a wetsuit race, with the cold weather and ton of rain we have had so far this year I would expect the water temps will be somewhere around 75 degrees max.
