Hey guys I am looking at buying a new zipp disc where can I get the best deal thanks.
As long as you don’t mind a lack of dimples, you can get the pre-dimpled version for $800.

It’s the Grey Disc, but they claim it’s made from the same Zipp mold as the pre-dimpled version.
eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeebay
.
If you are set on getting a new one, I would check with the guys at Bicycle Doctor USA. They discount 20% if you pay with check and their customer service is pretty impressive. I have no affiliation with them, but I did order a set of wheels through them last week. Don’t be put off by their JV website, they know their stuff.
Great service and fast shipping through Tri-Zone. Just got the 1080.
Man there has to be more great places than this. I mean were are the great deal on ZIpp wheels

even used there aren’t any great deals.
the great deals on zipp wheels would be Flashpoints (actually made by zipp!)
or HED Jets =)
Then define what “great deal” means to you. What model and how much do you want to pay?
I am looking to buy a tubular 900 zipp disc
.
You should contact tom demerley at bike sports michigan.
I want an 808 clincer front and a HED jet disc rear and I wannt to pay 0 dollars
lol
i don’t know if you meant to reply to me or the OP but it sounded like he was looking for zips significantly cheaper than normal somewhere.
that just doesn’t seem to happen much

there is always a smart ass behind the computer screen but always a pussy face to face I hate people like that is just makes me mad thanks everyone for there positive feedback.

There is Bicycle Village in Colorado that had a sale for them at $999 last year. I am not sure how often they have that sale.
Zipp requires Zipp dealers to maintain MSRP in ALL ADVERTISED PRICING - even to the point that if you have a 10% off sale, you must state that it excludes all Zipp products. Violating the above policy will quickly get your account yanked!
Now, what deal you are offered by a dealer in their store is between you and him/her. Thus, it would seem to make sense to have a good relationship with your LBS.
The better pricing someone mentioned is that in October (?) Zipp authorized dealers to advertise 2008 Zipp 202, 303, 404, 808, and 1080 wheels at 20% off.
Zipp requires Zipp dealers to maintain MSRP in ALL ADVERTISED PRICING -…
Are you sure about that? How does Zipp avoid price fixing charges from various states?
I am QUITE sure about this policy! It has been explained to me in no uncertain terms by my rep! Check online for pricing on 2009 Zipp products and see what you find. We cannot even say “call for pricing” in an advertisement.
It is probably not price fixing because I can CHARGE any amount I want to for their products. I just cannot ADVERTISE any price other than MSRP.

That seems like a pretty douchy response. If you ask a stoopid question you deserve at least a couple of smartass relies. FWIW several of the biggest zipp dealers in the country if not the world are regular advertisers on ST.
Oakley does the same thing doesn’t it? Fix the retail price?
Oakley does the same thing doesn’t it? Fix the retail price?
Yes.
Retail price maintainence
And
M.A.P
(min advert price policy)
Are two different things
Zipp appears to be simply requiring their dealers to maintain a minimum advertised price or risk losing the line
That is different to price fixing and retail price maintainence
I’m not a zipp products user but I do work in wholesale distribution and policies such as MAP and no eBay exist because you will always have one customer who tries to get under everyone else and with the power of the web, one rogue advertisement online can lead to a nationL retailer/dealer network of very pissed off customers
Retailer need margins to survive and in this world, a greater margin is achieved by being a larger dealer (buying more) and earning a second or third tier level discount against a retail price which should be somewhat stable
It is these larger retailers, based on buying power, who have the greatest scope to discount so in my mind, MAP is in place to support the small guy
