Yeah I switched to sunset. A Google view from JFK show two tallish buildings to left of WTC, then a gap to the right for another tallish, wider building. Much like yours.
chapeau!
Are there points for staying quiet because it was too easy? I was at the Cornwall park parkrun this morning.
Looks like sulphur mountain in Banff but the steps and the guardrails are missing. Old picture?
Sounds correct. Old weather station at top of gondola walk. Taken in January. Must have been from an angle that obscures the rest from view.
I had never seen Cornwall Park and was pleasantly surprised. Yes, obviously too easy for any JAFAs. I hope you had a nice run!
Guess you’re up next!
I’ve got your photo spot to within about 2m but I’mma keep my mouth shut and let other people play.
OK! That pic was taken on an M-Dot race trip if that will help someone.
To answer your earlier, I had a great run! Running somewhere new is always a nicer experience somehow. This was only my 2nd ever run at Cornwall. Friend from Pt Chev got me into parkruns. He does Western Springs every Saturday morning.
Edit: Banff was also an M Dot trip, come to think of it. Drove Seattle to Calgary the day before the mandatory checkin, and back the very morning after the race. Stopped at Banff on the way. In an Army vehicle with no aircon (older Jeep Wrangler).
Segovia?
Solid guess based on the stone arches, but no.
Nimes perhaps, closer look suggests a Roman Arena rather than an aqueduct.
Bump. Somebody figure out where Dilbert was or I’ll spill the beans.
@Dilbert was at the Pula Arena in Croatia:
street view from that spot as proof:
Yep that’s it. IIRC 7th largest Roman amphitheater, and again IIRC the most well preserved.
Was scrolling through my pics looking for Dubrovnik to post here, but then that pic turned up instead.
It’s really not fair how amazing Croatian coast is, eh? Split has an intact Roman emperor’s palace.
Pier 39?
