I own a nutrition store in clermont, florida and I wanted to add more selection of brands for endurance athletes. Our family has been in the health and nutrition business for 13 years and our goal is to bring the best brands to the market at the lowest prices!
Please respond with:
-what products do you buy

I have a box everywhere that I could possible sit down during the day…home, office, car, etc, High fiber for the win.
GU gels, Clif Shot blocks, honey stinger chews (by far the best tasting item out there), endurox R4
performance because they usually have 20% off sales and as a member you get an additional 10% towards future purchases. free shipping to the local stores. gotbody.com has pretty good deals with free shipping as well
oo, that’s a great idea. Do you toast them before you ride?
no, i get the brown sugar cinnamon ones, taste fine raw
also bananas
the one hard fall i ever took, i landed on my back, and the banana exploded, saving my spine
and afterwards i had a banana smoothie
100% serious
but, as a serious useful comment to the OP, i usually get stuff at the grocery store. i would consider bike food/drink ordering online if there were sweet bulk deals. like a case of gels discounted because i bought a million at once.
I use Infiniti during the bike for races and every now and then for training. I’m a poor graduate student, so I have to ration the “good stuff”.
As for gels, bars, etc., I buy them online from the store that offers the best deal/sale. I can handle pretty much any flavor and brand, so it doesn’t really matter to me.
I used s’more poptarts on the bike for my 1st full-distance tri. Needless to say, the run didn’t go too well, but the walk went fine
I use Balance Bars post workout of when hiking, and Infinit during harder workouts. The Balance BArs I get from Trader Joes and the Infinit from Infinit.
don’t buy or eat gels. I frequent the fruit stand at my local market. Or make a pb and j sandwich
make my own drink, diluted fruit juice with a pinch or two of salt
for recovery drink nestles chocolate milk
Prerace I like to drop a little fire sauce from Taco Bell. Really gets me up for the race! I then sip on water from the pond if it’s a fresh water swim. Iodine tablets of course.
During the rest of the race I rely on gel-like packets. I started out using Fancy Ketchup from McDonald’s but now I’m onto duck sauce. So far I’m tolerating the MSG pretty well. Soy sauce packets are a great alternative to salt tabs. For calories nothing beats Kraft mayo squirted right into the mouth.
