Where do these Germans train?! Surely not in wet cold Germany. What do they have in common?

they train mostly in Mallorca ore Lanzarote
.

Did you see the German girl interviewed in the penalty box by Greg Welch? She said that the Germans were mistreated and had unfair penalties posted against them.

Germany isn’t that cold and wet most of the time.
But:
Al-Sultan does camps in the UAE.
Stadler trains in San Diego
Sabatschus prepares before races in Texas.

Agreed…Not all of Deutschland is cold and wet. That was a rather provincial statement, don’t you think?

Playa de Americas??? spelling?

Lanzarote. A lot of europeans go there during the spring for training, it is easier with several weeks holiday a year to go for big mileage.

Wolfgang Dittrich was telling me that was where Germans went to train. People from my local tri club go every year for a week at Easter.

Not at all. Actually it was nice of me to stop there. Just ask any German. Unless you raise their hackles and they get defensive you’ll hear similar remarks.

Are you saying that the Germans won because they get more holidays than Americans? Surely the pros all have an equal opportunity to train, since triathlon is their job?
