soloist and colnago dont have the same steering geo. cervelo’s geometry is a little odd … 73 sta for all frame sizes? im not saying this is bad, its just not how most of the other race frames are designed. closely check out cervelos geometry.
and, i dont mean to disparage cervelos at all. i think they are great bikes. just not the be all end all that so many here seem to think. the warranty is a cultural thing … in europe, its standard. besides, if its going to break from a warranty issue, itll be within a year, most likely within a few months. not 5 years from now. a lifetime warranty is more marketing than anything.
im kinda like you … i dont ride a colnago, or a cervelo … i ride a merckx team sc … which is as close to perfect as any bike ive ever ridden. i cant think of a carbon bike i would choose over it. especially when you consider price … the ‘cheap’ cervelo is what, $3200/frame; and the colnago is well over $4k.
