When will people learn?

Why would someone be shocked to see:

Luc quit. Again.

Simon (ROOKIE) drop out. While riding a silly bike setup. (Worked at IMPL)

Reid, DeBoom, Brown go 1-2-3 this year? They have it figured out. Also, nobody mentioned Widoff for top 5-10. The guy is money for top 10.

Norman will be caught by the usual suspects half way through the run. Repeat of the last few year’s magazine covers. Reid-DeBoom-Brown.

Women?

Kraft is a beast. She’ll win. But nobody talks about Karen Smyers, who will get off the bike and mow them down. Top 5-10. Look at her past results.

Natascha jumped the shark when she lost her Cheetah. Same w/Lori.

Some new names in the women’s top 5…

What is it about Respect?

Who in the sport of Ironman triathlon has earned more respect than Reid/Deboom/Brown?

Not Macca! Not Lessing!

Issaquah/Sean Clancy

The man has a point. It’ like a replay of the same race of the last 4-5 years!!

Lessing is a Kona rookie…

Macca wasn’t a rookie wither but his first trip to Kona was a humbling one…

when will some people here stop being so shortsighted…

Lessing has been racing for 19 years…he is not a rookie.

silly bike set up? and what expert is talking? LOL…

But he is right about Karen Smyers!

At that age and with that serious illnes I say: GREAT RESPECT!

regards,

Frank

You could be right, but the lead is getting rather big. Reid/Deboom/Macca are over 12 minutes back now. I don’t see Brown going top 5 today, but I could be wrong. I think he’s well back now and still has to serve a penalty.

accoring to insidetri ticker:
McCormack and Sheldrake both came by our position and yelled out “ITU,” meaning there’s drafting going on in the big bunch. Is that fair to Stadler?

so what does this tell us ?
yes right, cheat and don’t get caught

I think Badmann is on a new Cheetah

You can only say I told you so if your picks make win.

There is no such thing as a new Cheetah. That bike is pretty old.

By “new” I mean, “not the one that was ruined.”

or are you saying that her old bike was repaired?

Dudes, I’m down here in Kona, and this has been a great day! I scored a room at the King Kam last night

Lots of athletes going into the sin bin, they tell me. It’s beautiful weather, btw.

Rutger Beke was a rookie at Kona last year…and he didn’t win an IM prior to Hawaii…

Don’t know about that Reid/Deboom/Brown prediction:

Stadler
Taubert 8:56
Sindballe 9:10
Al-Sultan 11:30
Anderson 16:02
Sheldrake 16:02
McCormack 16:24
Chabaud 16:52
Widoff 17:53
Reid 17:53
DeBoom 17:53
Beke 17:53
Bracht 17:53
Bell 19:34
Tissink 19:59

No Brown, and Deboom with a 4 minute penalty…

No way Reid or Deboom run down Stadler unless we see a total meltdown, 20 minutes is an incredible amount of time to have to close.

I think it can be done because it has been done before. I bet you Reid, Widoff and Brown come out of T2 like it’s a 10k run.

However, Stadler is running 6:15 miles. But a marathon by yourself is very hard.

Hey, I hope Stadler wins. Can anyone name the last time this strategy worked in Kona?

How about 10 times this strategy has backfired? Every time?

I think we’ll see Ironman 1995 revisited. I think Hellriegel had 24 minutes?

Who knows. I hope Norman wins. That’s badass if he does. Same for Nina the Machina.

I am sure Lessing has a good excuse. Glad Bjorn did. This race eats it’s young. That’s rule #1.
