i was wondering when people do their last long bike and run when preparing for a triathlon? i’m doing a 1/2 on 9/25 and was thinking about doing my last long bike (5.5-6.0 hrs) on 9/10 and last long run on 9/11. the bike is an annual ride in la crosse wisconsin that covers 100 miles with 10 big climbs (1.5-2.0 miles). i’ve followed the long bike day by the long run day this summer so i’m pretty used to that. also, my long bike is over 100 miles but not with anywhere near the amount of climbing (it was the ironman WI course). but, i’m not sure if this will be to intense an effort so close to a race. by the way, if anyone is from the la crosse area and would like more info about the ride shoot me a reply.
