Is it worth sticking around for a night? I know its a holiday but since people have to go to work the next day, is it still a good night to be out in the bars of Boston??
maybe id have more luck in the Lavendar room
.
i had to catch my flight back to europe last time i did it to be back at work the next morning but I think there is a place where they have a nice party.
i’m sure someone will know here, otherwise you’d have to go to the joggerforum (aka runners world) or - if you are ready for a laugh - you might try to check on letsrun by asking “i’m a triathlete running boston, how’s the post race partying?”.
The last time I did Boston, I met my wife just beyond the chute and we did a great escape via our carefully-placed car to start our 8 hour trip back home so I could go to work on Tuesday.
She just reminded me how many times we stopped so I could see if my legs still worked.
They used to have one at the famous but long gone Eliot Lounge where it was common to see some of the big names from the race having a celebratory beer or two. I’ve usually just gone home and stuffed my face with pizza and beer afterwards.
