when i climb a hill and grab handlebars with my 710s polar it works perfect…when i go aero it reads 75ahr …i am using wearlink and battery tested 3 volts…watch 1 month old …works perfect elsewhere…tia

How tight are you wearing your strap? Get on your bike without a shirt and when you go aero I bet your arms coming together kinda bows your chest back a little effectively making the strap loose.
What about wearing tri-shirts or something that would hold it in place? Or maybe a bit higher.

I totally agree. His post said that he had a “Wearlink” and I am pretty sure that is the cloth one.
If that is not the case then I have to “third” that reply…get the cloth transmitter. It is WAY better and coded also.

I was getting consistent zero readings from mine while in the aero position. Worked fine running, riding up hills, just not in the aero position.
Changed the battery in the chest strap and it’s been behaving itself since. Didn’t make a lot of sense to me but it worked. I had changed the battery only a few months before but maybe I spent too much time driving around, riding the ferry … without bothering to take the strap off and killed the battery that way. Or maybe I spent too much time training … eh …yes … that must be it

Could it be interference from a magnet on your front wheel? When you get aero you chest gets closer to the wheel. If you suspect that this is the case, perhaps you can slide the magnet and sending unit farther down towards the hub. This could all be bullshit.
ill try hard transmitter t61 and let you know…maybe its the ipod but i turned that off and still had prob…batryy read 3 volts,isnt that full charge?
works fine now …i washed the soft part with soap and water… maybe the clorine from a few days ago…or the wearlink was very wet…normaly the t 61 you can just lick a little and it works
