Did Cervelo just rename their bikes from p2c and p3c to p2 and p3? Sorry if I missed this announcement. Is it because these bikes only come in carbon and therefore the c is superfluous?
Just curious, since I’m working up the nerve to suck up to my wife for a p2, and want to make sure I’m not missing anything.
Nope that was correct. I think the OP was asking if the C was dropped since there are no non-carbon version of the P2 or 3 any more or there was another reason.
P4: New, carbon fiber. Tri/TT bike.
P3: New version replaces former 2008 P3C. You are correct, “C” suffic dropped, nomenclature assumes carbon now.
P2: New version replaces former 2008 P2C. Two versions: Ultegra SL equiped replaces Ultegra equipped. Dura-Ace 7800 version also.
P1: New version replaces former 2008 P2SL aluminum bike. New livery, updated kit with Ultegra SL.
If there’s been a name change, why do they still have P3C on the seat stays of the 09 model?
I believe this is another instance of cervelo’s terrible attention to detail.
