Tubulars
Mavic Helium tubulars. The original wheel system that kicked everything off makes a GREAT CX wheelset too! These are in great shape. The PO drilled a drain hole in the sidewall of the rim for H2O drainage. Why? Dunno. Doesn’t seem to affect anything 'cause I’ve got em set up for CX training/warmup wheels. No tires: $150 with tires $300 (Fango ft MXP rr)
M900 XTR respaced for road in 32/32 Mach2 Ceramic rims. Silky smooth and really really durable hubs laced to ceramic-coated rims for awesome stopping power in the nasties. I don’t think I’ve even ridden these since I bought em last fall. $275 w/o tires $375 with. (PDX ft Limus rr)
Hugi Compact hubs in a Matrix ft and Ambrosio Nemesis rr 28/32. Just replaced the NDS bearing in the rear hub. Spoke eyelet in the rear Matrix rim cracked, so I stuck a Nemesis in there. Its been ridden only a few times. Otherwise, I haven’t had to do anything to these since I bought em. They’re still just as silky smooth as when I got em. Still have that awesome ratcheting sound. I bought these to have a set of dry wheels for CX as well as for riding gravel roads. $175 w/o tires $225 with (Tufo Dry 32s ft and rr)
Clinchers
D/A 7403 in Open SUP CD Ceramic clincher rims. Run smooth. They’ll last darn near forever. Ceramic coating’s getting a little worn now. $250
D/A 7700 in a CXP30 REAR WHEEL ONLY 24h. Brand new freehub body (steel) 'cause when I got the wheel, the Ti FH body had frozen up. Comes with a matching gold CXP30 rim in 24h drilling if you want to re-do these as a matching wheelset. $150
It took me years to dig up some of these wheelsets. Only reason I’m selling is I went 11sp and none of em are compatible.
