Just picked up a Specialized Transition Pro (thanks Andy, aka nole-limit), and when I put my wheels on, I noticed that the spokes on my rear fulcrum racing 3 are just clipping the inner edge of the chainstay (non-drive side, obviously).
Am I just an idiot who put them on wrong?
Is there an easy fix (which would mean I’m still an idiot)?
Is this due to something specific about fulcrum racing 3 2-way wheels (i.e., wider hub or something else I know nothing about)?
As much as I would hate (love) to buy new wheels, it would be nice to get these fulcrums working for the time being.
That’s a really really wide NDS flange on the fulcrum wheel (Triplet?)
I love my Transition, but HATE this “feature” of it. Dumb dumb dumb dumb dumb (as you’re well noticing)
Try moving the wheel as far back in the horizontal dropouts as you feel comfortable doing. Or put a spacer on the NDS to push the flange ever-so-slightly away from chainstay.
I’d check to make sure you’re actually putting the wheel in centered on the frame–check that it’s not slightly off-center (don’t trust the brakes)
