So, being a college student, I decided to opt for the cheap disc and bought a wheel cover from the guys at wheelbuilder. I opted for the 2nd day shipping, since it was only slightly more expensive than ground.
Since they are also in SoCal (which I hadn’t noticed at the time), they sent me an email saying they had refunded me the extra money from second day shipping, since ground would only take one day anyway.
I know, it’s nothing huge, but the fact that they went out of their way to refund me that $1.90 still says something. It just shows (at least IMO) that they care about their customer service.
So I just thought I’d give a shout out to say thanks to the guys at wheelbuilder for awesome customer service and a great product!
I’ve heard they’re awesome to deal with - will probably be snagging a cover from them this year.
Is it true that if you send your wheel to them, they can custom cut a cover to fit, no matter what the rim?
You probably don’t even have to send your wheel. Rich has the measurements for almost any wheels and can custom cut the cover for you based on that. If it is a very weird/rare wheel you might have to send it in, but usually you don’t. Just call him and tell him what you have.
I do believe you can ship it in, but I don’t think that’s really necessary. When you order the cover, it has a section for you to input the specifics of your wheel (brand/style, rim depth, # of spokes).
They were great with me to. Fast shipping freindly e-mails and easy to put on.
