Wheel question (4)

I was thinking about a new set of wheel and can get a good deal on either:

Ritchey Z-pro Deep, American Classic Road-420, or Spinergy tilium carbon SS. The spinergy’s are more expensive, so I was wondering if they are worth the extra money. If the others are good I would go with the less expensive ones. I ride a giant tcr and weight 175 lbs. Any help would be great.

The Spinergy’s would probably be a little more comfy (the spokes are supposed to help reduce road vibration.)
The Ritchey’s are the tried and true bomb proof training wheel.
The American Classics are about as light as semi-deep dish come.

What color/year is your bike?

Its a yellow 2004
.

I’d probably lean towards the AM Classics.

Light, some what aero, and from what I’ve heard, practically bomb-proof.

Ths spinergy’s are nice wheels, but I’m not quite sure they are what you are looking for. If you could get Spinergy to send you a set with yellow decals/spokes, I’d say go for it. Otherwise, I’d go AM.

The Ritcheys are fine wheels, but they probably aren’t much different than whatever training wheels you are using now.

Thanks

The Spinergy SS wheels have metal spokes, not PBO, so there is no dampening. They are pretty deep, but also heavy. I had them they were OK, but just OK - my 32 spoke Velocity/Centaur wheels spin better.

I would go for the Am Classics over the Spinergy’s, have no opinion on the Ritchey’s.
