Wheel Experts, Help!

So I’m riding along on my way home from work last night, and swwwsssshhhh, I get a flat. No problem, I fix it and get back on my way. But when I get home, I notice that there’s a small dimple-like bulge in the rim near my nice new holes in the tire (caused by a screw). It’s directly below the braking surface, on the opposite side of the screw’s entry point.

I haven’t pulled off the tire to see if the screw actually went through into the rim yet, though if I recall the angle was opposite where the bulge is. Is this merely cosmetic, or could this lead to structural problems? I can deal with cosmetic, but I’ll be pretty bummed if I have to scrap the wheel… I barely have 700mi on them. It’s an American Classic 420 wheelset, rear wheel.

Thanks!
