Is anyone wiser from experience or otherwise as to the best wheel choice for the P4. From this statement it seems to indicate that the rear wheel choice isn’t that important.
"The bulge rim disk is a wheel design concession to facilitate older, less aerodynamic frame designs. In others words- bulge disks are meant for bikes with poor rear end aerodynamics. The bulge disk wheel is an attempt to “solve” or improve previous aerodynamically poor chainstay designs. The P4 doesn’t need a bulge disk. The aerodynamics are optimized* on the bike *not by wheel choice. The benefit is that you don’t need a bulge disk to optimize aerodynamics- you can use an 80 millimeter deep rim, a flat disk, a standard lenticular disk or any more conventional rear wheel. The chainstays on the bike fix the issue of aerodynamics between wheel and frame. The wheel doesn’t have to make up for a less sophisticated bike design. The aerodynamics are built into the frame- not the wheel. "

Now, I’ve read a few things on that bikesports website and it seems the authors have one hand down the front of their pants and the other pulling “statements” out their arse as they write, however, is there any truth to their statements in this instance.?
What are the optimum wheel choices - is the rear disc still essential or has the rear end design negated the need for a disc to do the job of smoothing out the air in that reason?
Specifically, has anyone experience with the Hed Stinger Disc and does it fit?
Anyone have experience with the HED Stinger 9 and does it fit?
On the Cervelo website it says the stinger 6 doesn’t fit but doesn’t mention any others apart from the Jet Disc.
I wonder what the optimum wheel choice is, I’m sure cervelo would have tested a few wheel combinations.
I’m considering going either a HED Stinger 9 combo or Stinger 9 front Stinger disc rear.
(Assuming I can scrounge up enough cash for a P4 to begin with).
