I am on a budget and thinking of getting some new wheels for my trek 5200, I am not willing to spend more than 1000 bucks on a wheelset. The bike will not be a dedicated Tri bike it will be my work horse outfitied with clip on bars. The wheels should be aero and light. I am thinking of Hed Alps, Hed Stinger V5.0 Hed Stinger V2.5. Any suggestions?

If not race only, the Alps are the only choice.
If you want race only, the Stinger 5.0 is the best choice for tubies, the Alps is the best choice for Clincher.
H3’s are the most durable, though, but they ain’t on your list. H3’s are more bomb-proof than Alps, but are not repairable if something does go wrong.
Zipp 303’s are OVER $1k, unless you know somebody we all don’t…
