Whats your top 5 Favorite TV Channels

Mine…

  1. Science Channel
  2. Discovery Channel
  3. History Channel
  4. Sci-Fi
  5. Science Channel

Number 5 I suspect would have been Out door life…but I sadly don’t get it.

In the words of Public Enemy, I watch channel zero.

Not sure I can come up with 5. Discovery HD - the picture is amazing Sci-Fi - only recently started watching shows there Whoever is broadcasting KU basketball games Comedy - for Daily Show and Blue Collar Comedy Science/Discovery

The public access stuff , With the trailer trash rock band , Some miss Nellie type that holds your hand. while she says its your fathers gilt that makes you love cheese cake. Lots of old burned out hippies , cheap special effects That’s real TV

Tough call, I’ll say:

  1. NBC
  2. ABC
  3. ESPN
  4. Comedy Central
  5. HBO

I love “West Wing”, it’s my favorite show, so NBC gets the nod for that. I also liked “American Dreams” when it was on, and various other stuff the peacock throws out there. And six would be Bravo for “West Wing” repeats.

ABC has “Lost” and “Alias”, those are great. I’ve actually found that “Wife Swap” is not total trash and is interesting, I really like the dichotomies they make with the families. Last nights “Supports the War and President” vs “Peace Loving Hippy” episode was interesting, and the families seem to actually benefit from being on the show.

ESPN cause I’m a guy and I love sports. Could have said Comcast Sports Network because they get a lot of the MD games.

Comedy Central for “The Daily Show” alone is top 5, but the random movies and “South Park” and “Dave Chapelle” is great.

HBO makes top 5 because I TiVo random stuff on it.

I watch too much tv, but TiVo makes me more efficient at least.

Nice PE reference! Never know what you will see here at ST:)

I have basic cable and don’t get some of those new discovery likd HD and Science. I can’t say I have a favorite but the ones that are on the most are

Food

History

Discovery

OLN in summer

Has anyone noticed that TLC and Discovery seem to be going the way of MTV? Seems like they started showing one type of programming and have moved away from it. Seems like home decorating and motorcycle shows all the time now?

If I am feeling like a redneck I will catch some PowerBlock on TNT on Sunday mornings while doing some stuff around the house, but don’t tell anyone:) My girl just laughs… “A guy who shaves his legs watches powerblock…”

“Has anyone noticed that TLC and Discovery seem to be going the way of MTV?”

Yes have noticed that as well. I believe that spinning off of the science channel, a discovery sub I believe, left the main channel with alot more open air time.

History Channel

CNN

Discovery Channel

VH1

Spike TV.

Discovery health - Trauma ER is the best, makes the show ER look like kids stuff

Scifi - I though BG was going to be horrible, but it suprised me

CBS - I still like Survivor and Amazing Race

Food Network - Alton Brown is a food god

Cartoon Network - No matter how many times I watch Futurama, it’s still funny!

Networks that I miss:

TechTV - G4 totaly ruined everything, this is why I hate network executives

Discovery Wings - Military is ok, but not at the expense of all the other aviation shows

Hockey - yeah I miss it, but I hope the union gets broken forever

Since we don’t have cable, we don’t get much more than 5 channels. But, since I barely watch TV, I haven’t noticed not having them.

In no particular order:

Spike TV - car shows, hot ladies, CSI, and MXC

Food Network - I like the food, Iron Chef, and the girl who cooks Italian.

Discovery Channel - American Chopper and American Hot Rod, plus everything else

Bravo - only for West Wing reruns

TNT - For Law & Order and NYPD Blue

And for about a month in the summer,…OLN
