Just curious what the range is. Whats your resting HR and any other info you want to leave?
I’m 29 yrs old and have a resting HR of 34. I’ve never been able to get it over 188 when measuring it.

Used to be 37 in my late 20’s. Now at 38 it is more like 40 on good days. Max used to be 195, but lately I have not seen much more than 190…although I have not used a HRM for a couple of years now in training. I just go with perceived exertion and pace times while running or swimming.
I just turned 40, boy does that hurt! I get an annual physical from work and I’m always in the low to mid 30 range, I love to see the look on the nurses face while they are doing a 12 lead EKG.
32 years old - 37 bpm
Just last week I surprised myself w/ a new max HR - 198 (in a 2 mile running race). It was around 192-195 before.
I’ve gotten that same wierd look when I went to the doc. for a dog bite. I’ve always wondered it you got knocked out and needed medical attention would the medics freak out over the low RHR? It seems most nurses and medics (I’m not saying all) seem to be over weight and smokers and probably wouldnt know the HR can get down to the 30s.
At the doctors office it is more like 65. At home it is around 38-42 depending on the day. Max, ugh, when Russell Hamby shows up for the group rides I my HR will get over 200 easily.
RHR: 32 this morning Age 56
Usually 34-38. Really freaked out the nurses when doing a stress test for insurance exam few weeks back. Thought it was abnormal until told them training regimen and what my “hobby” (their words) was.

still in Texas
That’s awsome!
I’m 30 years old with a RHR of 40, max rate just over 200. 5’ 11" 185lb.
The last time I tried to donate blood I was turned down, the nurse freaked out about my HR.

I’m usually 44 after I’ve calmed down from my alarm and still laying in bed. But I don’t know how any of you can have a RHR at 30 or 40 during the day. I’m at 66 right now but out of shape.
I am so embarassed to be 39 with a RHR of 50. At least my max is good (200 or so running). I need to start working out harder.
Well, according to my calculations, all of you guys are at about 7 min/mile pace when you are at my resting heart rate. Sheesh.
rhr of 42-46. lowest ever, 30 when at the peak of my taper.
“I am so embarassed to be 39 with a RHR of 50.”
Don’t be. The RHR proves absolutely nothing and is largely genetic.
Took mine today. It was 49, three beats under my age.
36 years old, RHR of 45
I also don’t believe it is a measure of fitness that can be compared to another person.
I track it so I can see if I’m starting to over train and know when to back off.

Yes, this is a highly individual number. Don’t bother comparing yours to others.
When I was in the hospital at age 19 the corpsman attending me one morning starting screaming at me and shaking me violently, which DID wake me up.
He was worried about 32 bpm.
Until a few months ago I was at 37 bpm when fully rested, but now that I’m on some serious asthma meds I’m seeing 45+ most of the time.

When I was in high school, I was involved in a research program that collected rhr data. Everyone had a piece of graph paper next their bed. The interesting part was at least 5 days before I felt sick you could see the rhr inching up. By the time I was felt really sick it was up near 100.
age, 23
RHR, 28
This moring after going to work, then getting ready to go for a ride several hours later, it was 29 while getting ready at 9:30.
I have had the nurse freak out as well.

does it make me a little weird that when I got my first HR monitor a couple of weeks ago I wore it non stop for 3 days just to see what my HR was during different activities and times throughout the day…very interesting.
It doesn’t matter. With increased fitness, your individual RHR will lower, but everyone is completely different. Becuase one person has a RHR of 35 and the other 45, does not mean the person with the 35 is more fit. It’s the same reason why everyone has a different max heart rate.
Heart rates are a very individual thing and don’t correspond to fitness on the average.
So stop obsessing about your heart rates and just go train and have fun.
