What's your favorite style of laces?

I had those bungee laces but they were hard to get the pressure evenly distributed. what kind do you recommend?

normal shoe laces, cut short, with the little plastic lace locks on them.

Elastic laces that are tied longer and looser than I first think is right. That gets the pressure to stay evened out. I love em so much they go in all my running shoes, whether gearing up for a triathlon or not.

I like easy Laces (http://www.trisports.com/easylaces.html). I find them easier to adjust than thicker laces like Yankz. The locking mechanism wears out quick, though.

But no elastic lace can be adjusted as well as normal laces.

You killed my mother!

I’m with Ashburn. Longer elastic laces rock. I had some tweaking to do on them and now I keep them pretty loose. Just enough to keep the shoes on.

i’ve been using Easylaces for 10 years+ and haven’t found anything yet that works better.

I like the kind that go up the back of a “Merry Widow.”.

I’ll have to see if my wife can do a relay with me in one of those…

Ditto.

I highly recommend Easy Laces. Easy to put on and you never have to mess with them. They’re stretchy enough that you can easily get your shoes on in T2, but tight enough to feel good when running. Plus they’re cheap. Double plus++ that they come in sweet colors.

My wife tells me they’re kind of hard to breathe in…
