Got curious the other day as to what my bike weighed, did the standard weigh myself, weigh myself plus bike, do math. My home scale is notoriously inaccurate, so I did several measurements and took an average. 15lbs, stock Cervelo dual with pedals and computer mounted
It’s also the smallest frame size Cervelo makes (48)
.
Road bike, with lightest wheels right at 13lbs.

20 lbs without the water bottles, 48cm felt S32
That last hill at Big Fish sure is a killer, fortunately I ride hills that are very similar all of the time.

about 18 lbs. without rider , about 228 lbs with rider. I don’t think frame weight is very important for me.
Ok, got a more accurate weight, for my bike, my scale is way off. 16.5 lbs. for my dual.
It is flat as a pancake farmland around here!
I have’nt a clue, but I think that it is less than 20 pounds.

P.S. What I get a kick out of is standing at the exit to T1 at a big IM race, as I did last weekend at IMFL, and watching all the super expensive and lightweight bikes loaded down with all kinds of bottles, nick-knacks and other stuff like they were heading out on some all day picnic! Some of those sub 20 pound bikes, looked like they would be pushing 30 pounds or more with all that stuff on them. Strange. Their are well stocked aid stations every 10 miles on the bike.
Is that with the wheels?
Cullen
As advertised '04 Dual with the Richie wheels & Vittoria Rubino tires 21 lbs 5oz.
with the Speed Dreams and Conti Supersonics 19 lbs 8oz.
Bike was weighed on a calibrated electronic scale.
With me on it-no significant differences. (less then 1%)
Is a bike a bike without wheels?
I guess not. 13 lbs. is awfull light though.Maybe it’s a single speed.
Cullen
Yes, Cannondale CAAD5, carbon fork, brew brakes, zipp rim/ american classic hub/ ti spokes wheels, itm stem, TTT220 HB, alien carbon post (cut), aspide fx saddle, topline crank, white ind bb, speedplay Ti pedals, sachs hollowpin chain, duraace shiftbrake (first generation - lighter than every other genration), duraace cogset, odd al and ti bolts.
The wheels, brakes, crank/bb, seatpost/saddle are very light compared to most standard parts.

The question should be:
What is your W/kg?
That is what really matters.
TCR - about 17 lbs
P2k - about 20 lbs.
The bike? The bike weighs around 11ks, in full rig.
With me on board, we top out at about 105 kgs…aka roadtrain.
Ok, got a more accurate weight, for my bike, my scale is way off. 16.5 lbs. for my dual.
22 lbs - for my stock 56cm DUAL w/ Speedplay ZEROs and cyclecomputer, on the scale here in the Shipping Dept. (I’d say it’s more like 21Lbs since this scale doesn’t show decimals) ![]()
This is the triathlon equivalent of “mine’s bigger than yours.”
Put 'em away, boys. Gary’s right.
: )
Road Bike: Scott CR1 Team issue, 56cm 14.3lbs w/ Reynolds race wheels.
Tri bike: Guru Trilite 55cm, 17.65lbs w/ 909s.
