Several places I’ve tried to buy it including LBS and internet retailers are back ordered. Is it going to be available in time for the start of the season?
There is a new Rocket out now called the Rocket Air. The vents are a little different.

I can’t speak for Louis Garneau specifically, but January is that dead-zone in some companies wholesale and distribution plans depending on the product category. It’s often the quietest and slowest month of the year for many retailers, particularly in places that get a real winter. Consequently, some product categories don’t start shipping from distributors/wholsalers until the end of January and February and that’s in the warmer places. For places that get a real winter, this may not happen until March.
If you’re set on the Rocket and need it now, I was in Nytro two days ago (I’m on vacation here and have no interest in the shop) and they had a bunch of them on display.
I ordered one early last week from Excel Sports Boulder and had it in a couple of days. It was the new Rocket Air.
