I doubt very much they could conclusively prove it was cocaine and not just “flour” done as a joke. I would hope you can’t get thrown in jail from just video evidence.

Yes, but this story ahs been out for a few days now and I’ve yet to here the “It wasn’t me” defense.
I also am surprised…ok not really, on exactly how little play this is actually getting. Either things are REALLY bad or the media is quite biased or a combination of both.
Heck I think Clinton’s daughter caught more crap than this for drinking or something and the Bush Daughters got nailed for the same. This seems to be only a “Footnote” at best. I heard about it a couple days ago and haven’t heard a thing since.
perhaps the media is finally being a little more responsible than just publishing any old crappy thing that crosses their desks. Maybe…not likely but just maybe.
So members of the first family or members of any political family attacked in a smear campaign need to stand up and hold a press conference with every new allegation? I don’t recall Laura Bush holding a press conference to tell us that she didn’t storm in on Georgie and Condie doing the bone dance, although that was reported by the “media” several times…

Nope don’t have to at all. However I would think that someone might have a simple press release on it. Then again if the media isn’t going to report it, then either it false or if it’s true no need to say anything about it…because it’s not being reported.

I would think it would depend on the believability factor. I wouldn’t expect a press release on an allegation that Obama was an alien even if it was in several media reports. This however seems fairly believable and a simple “Nope, didn’t happen” press relief would cover it if it was not true.

We’ll see if she gets treated the same as the Bush twins if/when this story is verified. That’s the only reason I can see for it being a non-story right now. I think the difference is that Biden himself isn’t in the news, and so a person “who might be his daughter” is even less news-worthy. If this was Obama’s daughter, it would be very different.

It gives 2 different witness accounts: one says she was holding a red straw that she used and the other says someone handed her a dollar bill. Not very credible, IMO.

Hand was up for the first, but back then the drinking age was 18 when I was in college (and I didn’t drink until after 18 and going to college). Hand came back down for the latter. Now, if you said early 20s…
The difference between Bush’s drug use and Obama’s drug use is that Obama admitted it, and Bush denied the cocaine and concealed the DUI. Not to mention that Bush referred to being 40 as “young” when he gave up drinking.
