No, but the similarity is striking. My whole world is surrounded by high walls topped with barbed wire, I eat the same food every day, and there are LOTS of people who walk around with guns. Physical training is about the only thing to do because even in jail they can watch TV. Not that I am complaining. I don’t imagine there is anywhere to run in Baghdad, and if my bike survives the trip across the ocean and the rest, I will even be able to ride around the interior of the camp.

Out on the Syrian border they eat dirt and live like Boy Scouts who have to camp in hell, only their camp doesn’t last a week, it lasts seven months. And of course the natives are trying to kill you. Now that would be worse than jail.

You rock Dude! ! ! Once along time ago I was a Sgt in the “fuck” you still call it that? AS a Marine you are doing a service you really will not appreciate till later. I train sometimes with 2nd battalion recon reserve unit in Billings Montana. They recently just retuned from Faluja. I had the pleasure of kicking the Majors ass in a 10k when they got back…Once an Nco always got to humble those zero’s…Always hated saluting cars…There are men who when the hear the words KIA still brings tears cause of the understanding,Those are Marines,Men and a part of us.
