What’s Up With Current Hour Record Holder, Ondrej Sosenka??

Remember when, during the 2005 Tour de France, it was announced that the “Athlete’s Hour” had been broken by Ondrej Sosenka? Most of us initially thought of - “WHO?”

I was very intrigued by his build and equipment choices and looked forward to seeing him tt and race in 2006. Well, two years later I have not heard anything about this athlete. Does anyone out there have news or an update?

Here is a link with more info from when he broke the record:

Thanks.

Didn’t he use weighted wheels though ? Not illegal thru the rules, but against the spirit of the athletes hour ?

Seems strange that he can do the ultimate cycling record and yet not convert it to a top class team and get some wins ?

Boardman managed several tour prologue wins off the back of his record.

I too was expecting to see him on a top team (one I would see on Vs cycling coverage) in time trials, working as a lead out man, trying for off-the-front wins - like Ekimov or Fabian.

I would think that a majority of the ability it takes to break the hour would show up on the road as well.
