Depends on which ones you are comparing.

SRAM shifters work with SRAM rear derailleurs. Shimano work with Shimano derailleurs. Zipp makes some for both Shimano and SRAM. Really depends on what you are asking here … there are pluses and minuses to each.

some shifters are “return to center” or “R2C” ( for example some of the SRAM shifters). These are alot more expensive than the stock indexed shifters such as Shimano.
